Altrincham Resident; Riva Courtney is launching a new local Family Club which plans to offer a regular series of events for young families creating an inclusive environment for imaginative play and discovery. The commercial interior designer took inspiration from her journey becoming a new mum and identified the need for a local family club which caters for both parent and child. The new family club; The Little Arts Club launches with an Autumn Arts Family Fun Day on Friday 25th October at Bowdon Parish Centre between 11am and 3pm. The event will hold creative sessions throughout for children aged 3-10 with crafting, creative play and theatre workshops available alongside a Pop Up Parents Market showcasing local producers and makers and homemade refreshments on offer.
Riva spoke of her excitement ahead of the inaugural event launching the local Family Club ‘ I wanted to create a family environment that is not only designed focused and caters to the kids but for the parents and wider family members too after struggling to find anywhere locally to take my son which wasn’t filled with lots of noise and disruption. I wanted to socialise with other parents but the current offerings don’t let you do that. Focusing on the entire family too , grandparents are often overlooked but most of my friends parents are hands on with the kids especially during school holidays. I want to provide an event that is for the whole family whether it’s grandparents, aunties, uncles, or carers enjoying the events with their little ones. The entire family club! ‘
‘ I have been working for months to create something which I as a mum can go to with my child and be able to socialise with other parents while seeing my child learn and take part in creative projects. The Little Arts Club is something which provides creative arts on all ends of the spectrum and doesn’t just focus on one area, its about having fun, learning and growing together’ Riva Continued.
In making this new family Club, Riva plans to stage regular event fixtures which both entertain and stimulate Kids through Creative Play and learning whilst having fun; ‘ We plan days out focused around the kids but I wanted to provide something that is for the community and on the doorstep. Each event will be different, creative stimulating experiences is the focus of my offer. Combining arts crafts and theatre focused sessions for ages 3-10 and parents go free offering somewhere to go and socialise, meet other parents and find bespoke gifts and Kidsware that can’t be found on the high street. This upcoming event offers creative entertainment, features award winning dance teachers and creative individuals who have curated a exclusive programme for the Family Club which stimulates and teaches children craft and arts skills.
Two Day Sessions are available (11am or 1pm start) Child tickets are priced at only £15 each and include entry to all creative sessions in each including Arts and Crafts, paint a pot&plant a seed and Theatre Class, parents go free with lots to do while the child sessions take place.
