Kinky Boots at Opera House Manchester

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant

What a wonderful performance of Kinky Boots featuring Joel Harper-Jackson as Charlie Price, busy running the show business in Northampton and Callum Francis as Simon, or is that Lola?  Both actors were outstanding supported by a brilliant cast.

It is easy to see how Callum Francis has been asked to play the lead role of Lola on Broadway from 11 January 2019.  All I can say is don’t miss this show in Manchester which runs through to the 1st December.

The atmosphere was electric and the theatre packed as Lola’s energy generated through the audience.  Many of you may have seen the film – but do go and see it live.  The story unfolds as Charlie struggles to keep the 4th generation shoe factory business running producing ‘traditional’ shoes.   When Lola arrives on the scene,  it seems that thigh-high boots for drag queens just might be the way forward and could save the  ‘Price & Sons factory.

Kinky Boots really is an incredible show and appeals to a wide audience, this was clearly shown by the standing ovation that the cast received.  And as for the dancing performance by Lola in those thigh high boots – well we were impressed!

STOP PRESS:  It has just been announced that Callum Francis will be playing the role of Lola on Broadway from 11 January.

This means that Callum is playing the role in his home city of Manchester ahead of his run on Broadway. Don’t miss this thrilling performance.
